Seth Meyers has revealed he has just become a father.

The late night talk show host’s wife Alexi Ashe gave birth to twin girls, one of whom has already been named Sadie Pearl and who weighed 7 pounds.

In an emotional tweet on Tuesday, Meyers wrote: “Alexi and I are sleepless and delirious but so happy and thankful as we await the arrival of our girls.”

The “Late Night” star, who married his wife in September 2016, gave fans a glimpse of the newborn girls a few hours later, posting an Instagram photo of what appears to be his children lying down together in their hospital beds, each wrapped in blankets.

Meyers also posted a sweet photo of his wife wearing a bright pink cardigan, saying that Sadie Pearl was doing well.

The comedian also thanked people for their “warm wishes and best wishes.”

“It’s not yet time to start the baby shower, but we will for sure celebrate this precious time we have together with our new family.”

In an interview with People magazine last year, Meyers said he wanted a family “as soon as I can.”

“We had our first date when I was 25 — that was 16 years ago, and we have been married for nine months,” he told the publication. “It just feels like the time for a family.”

On his most recent “Late Night” episode, the comedian used a special “boy moments” segment to celebrate his wife’s pregnancy.
