Mindy Kaling got dolled up in traditional Thanksgiving fashion on Sunday, when she stepped out for a family celebration on the West Coast. Earlier in the day, Kaling’s children shared some cool photos from the beach: Skyler and Leo were wearing fun hats that resembled Catwoman masks while sitting beside mom. Leo was also rocking a pair of shorts. And of course, mom’s face appeared super-cool in a series of photos on Facebook.
“Thanksgiving with the kaling family,” her oldest child captioned one of the more colorful, bold-printed photos. “What I’m grateful for.” Another photo shows Mindy, son Skyler, and husband actor/producer Chris Messina in the sun.
Kaling and Messina announced in August that they are expecting their second child. At the time, Kaling was thankful that she had been blessed with more time with both of her children and said it was “a dream come true” to be working on three new TV shows.
However, Messina posted on Instagram that the family is adjusting well to having a second child. “Since the realization that there is an ‘R’ after ‘Mindy’ in their children’s names, we’ve been together happily asleep,” he said.
